Event Details

The Jackson County Public Library and Jackson County Clerk Amanda Lowery are partnering for National Voter Registration Day from 11 am to 6 pm on Tuesday, September 27, in the Seymour Library lobby. At the Medora Library, registration will take place from 2 to 6 pm, and at the Crothersville Library from 4 to 6 pm, also on September 27.

To register, people must be U.S. citizens, present a driver’s license or state I.D. card, and must be 18 by the next Election Day (Tuesday, November 8). This is a free service.

Started in 2012 for the presidential election, National Voter Registration Day is designed to create an annual moment when the entire nation focuses on registering Americans to exercise their most basic right—the right to vote. Americans can register at hundreds of events across the nation and online at

www.NationalVoterRegistrationDay.org, which is a non-partisan group website.
